Goalkeeper

Eleias Himaras (York United FC)

It was a weekend of terrific performances from young goalkeepers in the Canadian Premier League, but perhaps none more impressive than Himaras for York United as they stunned Forge FC at Tim Hortons Field. The 20-year-old made a pair of saves and three clearances during a 3-1 victory.

Defenders

Wesley Timoteo (FC Edmonton)

Timoteo has been one of Alan Koch’s most reliable and consistent players this season and that was again the case against Valour on Sunday. He led his Edmonton side in touches (53), six crosses and had 13 passes into the final third.

Thomas Meilleur-Giguère (Pacific FC)

Defending while down a man is never an easy proposition but TMG was once again a leader at the back for Pacific as they put in a strong performance despite a 1-0 loss. He won three aerial duals and made eight clearances while completing 90% of his passes despite coming under heavy pressure from Halifax.

Drew Beckie (Atlético Ottawa)

The Ottawa defender captained his side to two wins this week as they rose back to the top of the CPL table. This included a statement 3-0 victory over Cavalry at Spruce Meadows, in which Beckie had three clearances and helped keep his side organized and resolute for their league-leading eighth clean sheet of the season.

Chrisnovic N’sa (York United)

His first goal of the season was likely the goal of the weekend, a legitimate candidate for goal of the month and proved to be the winner against rival Forge FC in the 905 derby. N’sa also completed two dribbles, and led all York players in touches with 76 while completing a solid 88 per cent of his passes.

Midfielders

Pierre Lamothe (HFX Wanderers)

Lamothe finally found a breakthrough for Halifax against 10-man Pacific in the 82nd minute with a stunning curling strike that provided his side with their second straight home victory. Lamothe had three shots in total and two chances created as Halifax dominated the midfield battle on Saturday.

Ollie Bassett (Atlético Ottawa)

Bassett had a pair of brilliant performances as the central cog in an Ottawa attack that scored six goals this past week. Bassett also had 20 passes into the final third in a 3-2 win against Halifax, before creating two chances and scoring a goal himself in a 3-0 win over Cavalry.
Sean Rea (Valour FC)

Despite a disappointing 1-1 home draw with Edmonton for Valour, Rea continues to be one of the CPL’s premier chance creators. He scored the Winnipeg side’s lone goal in the match, and created four chances, while also making 11 crosses.
Keven Aleman (Atlético Ottawa)

Aleman scored the opening goal in both Atlético Ottawa win this week, including one from a near impossible angle against Halifax. With Carlos González saying he needs more from his depth players down the stretch this season, Aleman has undoubtedly delivered and is looking like he could become a key player for Atleti going forward.
Mo Babouli (York United)

By this point, Tim Hortons Field is used to seeing incredible performances from Mo Babouli, but probably less so in the Nine Stripes of York United. Babouli was fantastic against his former side, scoring on an absolute rocket late in the match, while also completing five dribbles and winning possession six times during an electric overall performance.

Forwards

Osaze De Rosario (York United)

De Rosario continued to keep pace in the league’s Golden Boot race with the ninth goal of his debut CPL season. The young striker looks to have quickly formed a solid partnership with Babouli, and was a problem for Forge all afternoon, winning four aerial duals and two fouls.
