The Canadian Premier League is pleased to announce Moosehead Breweries, Canada’s oldest independent brewery, as the “Official Domestic Beer of the Canadian Premier League.”

Through this new partnership, Moosehead’s product portfolio – with brands including Moosehead Lager, Moosehead Light and Cracked Canoe – will be available at select founding club venues. The partnership negotiated by Canadian Soccer Business (CSB) on behalf of the CPL will also result in impactful in-market programs at retail, on-premise at key Moosehead accounts and in-stadium on Canadian Premier League match days – all of which will engage CPL fans from coast-to-coast.

Additionally, Moosehead will be incorporated across a host of fan-visible Canadian Premier League assets including in-stadium field signage, league match broadcasts, hospitality programs and on-site match activations at a number of CPL club venues.

“We are happy to have Moosehead as the Official Domestic Beer of the Canadian Premier League,” said David Clanachan, Commissioner, Canadian Premier League. “Moosehead Breweries is the last major brewery in Canada owned by Canadians which is in keeping with our mission statement for Canadians by Canadians and makes this the perfect partnership.”

“The Canadian Premier League is soccer by Canadians for Canadians,” explains Adam Reid, Director of Marketing, Moosehead Breweries. “As a beer brewed by Canadians for Canadians, we couldn’t be more thrilled about this partnership. This is an incredibly exciting introduction to the Canadian sports scene, and we can’t wait to watch this season’s games – with a Moosehead Lager in hand, of course.”
