En route to a massive 3-1 win over FC Edmonton to win a fifth Al Classico bout and clinch the Fall crown, Cavalry FC made sure to stop and smell the roses at ATCO Field, with Jose Escalante celebrating his team’s third goal in a fashion fit for the occasion … and the location.
For, upon the fields of one of the world’s foremost showjumping facilities, Escalante took his penalty coolly, then ran over to take the corner flag for a quick trot down the touchline … making for one of the most unique goal celebrations in world football.
