Valour FC announced Thursday the club has signed Canadian-Albanian defender Klaidi Cela.

Cela, 23, joins Valour FC after spending the past month with Vaughan Azzurri of League1 Ontario.  As a Toronto FC Academy graduate, he made four appearances with Toronto FC II, tallying 295 minutes played.

The defender also played for Forge FC 18 times from 2019 to 2021, scoring one goal and adding one assist in 531 minutes. Cela won the North Star Shield with Forge in both 2019 and 2020, though a knee injury kept him out of the squad for the playoff round where they won their second title at the Island Games in 2020.
