Atlético Ottawa today announced the departure of midfielder Abdou Sissoko.

The 32-year-old played the fourth most minutes of any Atlético Ottawa player last season and his experience and quality at the base of midfield were crucial to the club enjoying a historic campaign that included winning the 2022 regular season championship.

It was also announced today that forward Brian Wright has departed the club, signing with Ontario rivals York United. Drew Beckie (retired), Sergio Camus (loan ended) have also been announced as departures while Keven Alemán, Ben McKendry and Chris Mannella all saw their contracts expire.
