CANADIAN PREMIER LEAGUE ANNOUNCES 2021 AWARD WINNERS

Toronto, ON (December 14, 2021) – Today the Canadian Premier League announced the 2021 Award Winners that celebrated the 2021 nominees following the League’s successful 2021 season with Pacific FC being crowned 2021 Champions at an event held in Toronto on December 14, 2021. 

“2021 has been an incredible year for soccer in Canada,” said Canadian Premier League Commissioner, David Clanachan.  “We are proud of the exciting, entertaining, and competitive football delivered by all our Clubs and Players this season. The performances by all our nominees were incredible and we are extremely proud to recognize all the nominees’ achievements and congratulate this year’s winners.” 

All awards take into account the nominees’ performance for the full Canadian Premier League 2021 season from June 26 to December 5, 2021.

Golden Boot Winner João Morelli – HFX Wanderers

Golden Glove – Jonathan Sirois – Valour FC

Best Under 21 Canadian Player of the Year – Alessandro Hojabrpour – Pacific FC

Coach of the Year – Pa-Modou Kah – Pacific FC

Player of the Year – João Morelli – HFX Wanderers

The winners were selected by a judging panel comprised of media writers and reporters from across Canada.
