SEPTEMBER 17, 2020
All remaining participants, players, coaches and staff, along with referees, league staff and other members of the Canadian Premier League delegation participating in the Final 2020 of the CPL Island Games completed their final weekly COVID-19 tests. All (September 14) test results were negative. Resulting in 100% negative results from all participants since arriving in Charlottetown on August 8.

All remaining participants, players, coaches and staff, along with referees, league staff and other members of the Canadian Premier League delegation participating in the Group Stage of the CPL Island Games continue their weekly COVID-19 tests. All (September 8) test results were negative. All participants will be re-tested weekly for the duration of the Island Games.

All (August 18) test results were negative. All participants will be re-tested weekly for the duration of the Island Games.

Charlottetown, PEI – All participants, players, coaches and staff who will be participating in the double-header matches on Sunday, August 16 (Valour FC vs Cavalry FC and Forge FC vs FC Edmonton) received their second negative COVID-19 test result and have been cleared to play. The full delegation moves to weekly testing every Tuesday.
Prior to arriving in PEI, all members of the Canadian Premier League delegation were in self-isolation for at least 14 days and had a minimum of two negative COVID-19 tests. All members of the delegation traveled to PEI via chartered flights. While in PEI the delegation will be in a sequestered bubble at the Delta Prince Edward, except when they are playing games, training on the soccer pitch or seeking emergency medical care. The CPL delegation will have no contact with the public while in the province and there will be no spectators at the games.

Charlottetown, PEI – All participants, players, coaches and staff who will be participating in the double-header matches on Saturday, August 15 (York9 FC vs Atletico Ottawa and HFX Wanderers vs Pacific FC) received their second negative COVID-19 test result and have been cleared to play. The remaining CPL players, coaches and staff who are scheduled to play on Sunday were tested today.

Charlottetown, PEI – All 276 participants – players, coaches and staff from the eight CPL clubs, along with referees, league staff and other members of the Canadian Premier League delegation staying at the Delta Prince Edward by Marriott hotel were tested for COVID-19 upon arrival in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on Saturday, August 8. All test results were negative. All participants will be re-tested later this week and then weekly, thereafter, for the duration of the Island Games.
