Cavalry FC’s Marco Carducci has been named the Allstate CPL Goalkeeper of the Month for September 2023.
The Calgary native, who turned 27 during the month, allowed just four goals in six matches — making 15 saves. He also kept two clean sheets, bringing him to seven on the season, and has allowed 5.63 fewer goals than expected during the 2023 season.

Carducci won the league’s Golden Glove award both last year and in its inaugural season in 2019, as well as being nominated in 2021. He is making a strong case to be included among the nominees again this season.
Despite that, this was the first time in 2023 he has been named as the league’s Goalkeeper of the Month. Forge FC’s Triston Henry has earned the honour twice, for both May and July, while Vancouver’s Callum Irving (April), Valour’s Rayane Yesli (June) and Ottawa’s Nate Ingham (August) have also been named as Goalkeepers of the Month this season.
