CPL Centurions: Forge’s Alessandro Hojabrpour hits 100 games for CPL clubs in all competitions

Forge FC midfielder Alessandro Hojabrpour was the latest CPL player to hit a major milestone this past weekend, playing his 100th game (all competitions) for a Canadian Premier League club.

The 23-year-old Hojabrpour had the start in Forge’s 1-1 draw with Halifax Wanderers on Saturday, playing his 37th game for the Hamilton club. Prior to signing with them last winter, Hojabrpour played 63 games for Pacific FC.

Hojabrpour scored the winning goal in the last two CPL Finals, helping Pacific beat Forge 1-0 in 2021 before lifting Forge to victory over Atlético Ottawa in 2022.

The legion of CPL centurions grew significantly over the weekend, as Halifax captain Andre Rampersad played his 100th game for the club on Saturday and Tristan Borges hit 100 for Forge in their midweek Canadian Championship tie.

Hojabrpour joins Dominick Zator and Terran Campbell as players who hit the 100-game milestone with matches for multiple clubs.
