CPL clubs unveil competitors for New Era eCPL PS4 Final Wednesday

Top-ranked Canadian EA Sports FIFA 21 player Agit Katilmis, representing Atlético Ottawa, headlines a stacked bill of gamers for Thursday’s Playstation 4 eCPL Own The North EA Sports FIFA 21 tournament set to be broadcast Wednesday (6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT) on twitch.tv/ecpl and twitter.com/cplsoccer.

Katilmis, also known as AgitPower, is ranked first in Canada and fourth in North America in FIFA 21 and was recently picked to represent Canada Soccer in the FIFAe Nations Cup Online Qualifiers alongside Nawid Noozai, also known as GoalMachine, who won the Xbox eCPL title last week.

“Representing my favourite Canadian Premier League team is awesome for me,” Katilmis said in a media release. “I have been following Atlético Ottawa since inception in 2020. I am planning on bringing my A game and taking home the Playstation eCPL championship.”

Joshua Esteves (FC Edmonton), Arash Davari (Pacific FC), Ahmed Jamal (York United), Jimi Oguns (Cavalry FC), Matteo Bozzetto (Valour FC), Faysal Younes (Forge FC) and Alix Largerie (HFX Wanderers) round out the field of FIFA 21 players vying for gaming supremacy on the PS4 side.

The winner of Wednesday’s final will win $2,000 CAD and the right to represent Canada at the North America Playoffs on the road to the FIFA eWorld Cup.

Last week, GoalMachine captured the Xbox title after beating real-life Cavalry FC professional Jose Hernandez in the final.
