FC Edmonton has brought in their first player in the Alan Koch era, with midfielder Paris Gee signing on for the 2021 Canadian Premier League season.
Gee, 26, arrives after four seasons in the USL Championship, making nearly 90 appearances for the Tulsa Roughnecks and, most recently, Saint Louis FC.
The Burnaby, British Columbia native played under Koch for one season, in 2012, at Simon Fraser University. Before that, Gee developed in the Vancouver Whitecaps residency program.

“It is incredibly exciting to be able to reunite with Paris in Canada again after both of us having forged different professional journeys over the last few years,” Koch said in a release.
“He has the technical ability to play the way we want to play this coming season and I believe his experience in Tulsa and most recently with Saint Louis FC will help significantly as he enters the CPL. I look forward to integrating him into our group as quickly as possible in this coming pre-season, and working with him to take his game to another level.”
Gee is Edmonton’s first newcomer confirmed for the 2021 CPL season, joining a small group of returnees including Antony Caceres, Chance Carter and Marcus Velado-Tsegaye.
