Forge FC exercises 2025 option on goalkeeper Christopher Kalongo

Forge FC announced Thursday that the club has exercised the option on goalkeeper Christopher Kalongo for the 2025 Canadian Premier League season. Kalongo, has steadily risen through the ranks of Forge FC, will rejoin the team’s active roster for the upcoming campaign.

Kalongo’s journey with Forge FC began in 2021 when he joined the club as a development goalkeeper. Following a year of growth and integration into the Forge system, Kalongo signed his first professional contract in 2022. Since then, he has made 23 appearances for the club, recording four clean sheets and amassing over 45 saves during his tenure. His performances have demonstrated not only his technical abilities but also his composure and resilience under pressure.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper has been a reliable presence between the posts, combining athleticism with sharp decision-making. Kalongo’s growth mirrors Forge FC’s commitment to nurturing homegrown talent and providing a platform for young players to succeed at the professional level.
