Forge FC head coach Bobby Smyrniotis has been named the Canadian Premier League’s manager of the month for April of 2023.

Under Smyrniotis, the defending CPL Champions went undefeated in the season’s opening month. They are currently tied with Valour at the top of the league table, second only on goal difference, and are also tied for the league lead in goals scored.

Forge picked up an impressive 1-0 victory against Pacific at Starlight Stadium on the final day of the month this past weekend, while also playing to draws at home against Halifax Wanderers and Cavalry in April.

It was recently announced by Forge FC that Smyrniotis has been named the club’s Sporting Director to go along with his head coaching duties, as part of a multi-year contract extension.
