Forge FC’s Triston Henry named Allstate CPL Goalkeeper of the Month for October

Forge FC shot-stopper Triston Henry has been named the Canadian Premier League’s Allstate Goalkeeper of the Month for October 2023.

Henry had an outstanding month between the sticks for the Hamilton club, helping spur them to the North Star Cup and a fourth CPL championship in five years. He played a major role in both of their two playoff victories, including Forge’s CPL Final victory on Oct. 28 over Cavalry FC.

In the final, Henry played the hero for Forge on multiple occasions, making four saves including one outrageous stop on Jesse Daley to keep the game scoreless and help his side get to extra time.

Henry was likewise excellent for Forge in their first playoff game of the year, making two saves and winning both of his aerial duel opportunities as the Hammers beat Cavalry and earned the right to host the CPL Final.

Prior to that final, Henry was awarded the Golden Glove as the league’s 2023 Goalkeeper of the Year, winning the honour for the second time in his Forge career.

This is the third time Henry has been named Goalkeeper of the Month in 2023, having also earned the nod for his strong performances in May and July.
