Goalkeeper

Marco Carducci (Cavalry FC)

Carducci and his Cavalry teammates lifted the Wildrose Cup over the weekend after yet another victory over provincial rival FC Edmonton. The Cavalry keeper made three saves, earning his sixth clean sheet of the season.

Defenders

Rezart Rama (Forge FC)

It was another dominant performance on both sides of the ball for Rama against Ottawa. He won possession back 11 times for Forge, while also completing 17 passes into the final third.
Karifa Yao (Cavalry FC)

Yao scored his first CPL regular season goal against FC Edmonton on a brilliant header. But it was his defensive performance and concentration that stood out once again, especially against an Eddies side who were constantly looking to attack in transition.

Garven Metusala (Forge FC)

Metusala was critical in Forge picking up their sixth clean sheet of the season, he had seven clearances against Ottawa. He also continued to be an attacking threat from the back with his line-breaking runs, with two successful dribbles against Atleti.
Luis Lawrie-Lattanzio (York United)

The Australian has looked like a great addition for York United so far and added his first Canadian Premier League goal in Monday’s win over Halifax. He was also solid at the back with four clearances, and won possession seven times, including twice in the final third.

Midfielders

Aboubacar Sissoko (Forge FC)

Sissoko has recently added goalscoring to his already dominant all-round game, opening the scoring against Atlético Ottawa. He hardly stopped there, adding an assist, and winning four fouls.
Kyle Bekker (Forge FC)

His name didn’t feature in the boxscore of Forge’s league-shaking 4-0 win over Atlético Ottawa, but he was unquestionably the architect in midfield. Bekker had a stunning 25 passes into the final third and two chances created during a dominant Forge win.
Jordan Wilson (York United)

Wilson has been a real leader for York during this difficult season, and did so again during their biggest win of the season on Monday, scoring the opening goal 15 minutes into the match en route to a 4-2 win in Halifax.

Forwards

Alejandro Diaz (Pacific FC)

Diaz has another outstanding performance every time the Golden Boot race gets close. This time it was a brace in a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Valour FC. He now has 13 goals on the season and is on the verge of breaking the league record for goals in a single season. This is currently held by HFX Wanderers’ Joao Morelli, who had 14 last year.
Terran Campbell (Forge FC)

When Campbell scores once you had better believe more goals are coming as he picked up his third brace of the season in Forge’s 4-0 victory over Atlético Ottawa.

Osaze De Rosario (York United)

York United had their biggest offensive output of the season and it is no surprise that leading goalscorer Osaze De Rosario led the way. He had a pair of goals during the match and is now up to third in the Golden Boot race with eight goals on the season.
