HFX Wanderers announced the signing of a pair of wingers on Thursday, inking Canadians Mohamed Kourouma and Abd-El-Aziz Yousef to contracts.

Kourouma, 28, plays on the left while Yousef, 19, plays on the right.

“Mohamed is like an old fashioned winger and brings a lot of penetration to the team,” Wanderers head coach Stephen Hart said. “Yousef has good qualities, he is direct and gets in the penalty area.”

Kourouma, who was born in Guinea but raised in Montreal, is signing for the Wanderers after playing for two seasons with Miami in the USL Premier Development League.

He got noticed by Stephen Hart in Montreal last fall when he decided to give it a shot at the CPL’s Got Game Open Trials.

“I’m excited. The team is really good and we have a lot of good players. I think we will do well, we have a lot of talent,” Kourouma said.

Joining him in signing for the team is Abd-El-Aziz Yousef who was born in Saudi Arabia and grew up in Vancouver.

“This feels great it’s a dream opportunity for me and I think it’s amazing what they’re doing in Halifax,” Yousef said.
