HFX Wanderers report 95% of members contacted ahead of the holidays have averaged purchasing 2.5 seats — a season seat conversion rate the club says will result in a “majority” of inventory being reserved ahead of the Canadian Premier League’s inaugural season.
The east coast outfit also reports Premium Pitch Side Tables and Sideline Sky Suites at Wanderers Grounds have completely sold out, leaving just 15% of premium inventory, including a “limited” number of Field Suites.
Momentum in the Maritimes comes on the back of HFX Wanderers announcing fullback Zachary Sukunda as the club’s first signing.
Head coach Stephen Hart also revealed last week he’s added veteran Halifax based coach Michael Hunter and seasoned former Trinidad and Tobago international Derek King to his coaching staff.
HFX President Derek Martin told CanPL.ca in October the club is aiming to have a season ticket wait list in its first campaign.
“Given the success we’ve had in the first year we’ve already met with the city to see how the next few years might unfold,” Martin said at the time.
“We are working through various options now to determine what is possible.”
