OneSoccer to broadcast Concacaf Nations League finals this week

OneSoccer will air the Concacaf Nations League finals this week, starting with a semi-final double-header Thursday, June 3.

The United States, who edged the Canadian men’s national team in group stage play in late 2019, will play Honduras (7:30pm ET/4:30pm PT) in the first semi-final followed by Mexico vs. Costa Rica (10:30 pm ET/7:30 pm PT) Thursday. The final will take place on Sunday, June 6 (9:30pm ET/6:30pm PT). OneSoccer will carry that and the third-place match set to kickoff at 6:30 pm ET/3:30 PT.

Concacaf Nations League kicked off its inaugural tournament in late 2018 with a four-game qualifying schedule for Concacaf’s bottom 34 sides. Canada won all four qualifiers (against U.S. Virgin Islands, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and French Guiana) and advanced to the tiered competition’s “League A,” where they faced the U.S. and Cuba in a four-game group stage. John Herdman’s side lost the group’s top spot on goal differential to the Americans, who advanced to the semi-final.

The Nations League finals – which was set to wrap up last Summer but was delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions – will take place in Denver, Colorado.

OneSoccer will also broadcast upcoming Canadian men’s national team 2022 World Cup qualifying matches, starting with Les Rouges’ tilt with Aruba on Saturday, June 5 (8 pm ET/5 pm PT) and a Group B decider against Suriname on Tuesday, June 8 (9 pm ET/6 pm PT). They’re also set to broadcast Canadian women’s national team tune-up matches for the Tokyo Olympics next week: vs. Czech Republic on Friday, June 11 (11 am ET/8 am PT) and Brazil on Monday, June 14 (3 pm ET/12 pm PT) in Cartagena, Spain.

OneSoccer is the official broadcaster of Canada Soccer, which includes rights to the Canadian Premier League, Canadian Championship, and all Canadian national teams.
