Pacific FC announced Friday that the club has exercised the contract option for Canadian fullback Georges Mukumbilwa, keeping him on Vancouver Island for the 2025 Canadian Premier League season.
Mukumbilwa has 60 career appearances for Pacific, including 13 in the 2024 campaign. Born in Kalima, Democratic Republic of Congo, the 25-year-old has lived in Canada since the age of 13, when he and his family moved to Winnipeg.

He previously spent time in the Vancouver Whitecaps Academy setup, making one appearance in Major League Soccer for the first team, before signing with Pacific in 2022.
Pacific now have 12 players officially under contract for the 2025 season, with Mukumbilwa the 10th returning player from the 2024 squad. The defensive group now includes him as well as Juan Quintana, Christian Greco-Taylor and Aly Ndom.
