Pacific FC signs Canadian defender Robert Boskovic

Pacific FC announced on Tuesday that the club has added Canadian defender Robert Boskovic to their squad for the rest of the 2021 Canadian Premier League season.

The 23-year-old Boskovic is a 6’3″ centre-back from Mississauga, Ontario, who played most recently for Cavalry FC (on loan from Toronto FC) — where he played six times at the Island Games in 2020. He also has recent experience for the now-defunct Ottawa Fury in USL, as well as various TFC reserve sides. Boskovic played 55 times for Toronto FC II between 2015 and 2018 before going out on loan to Ottawa and Cavalry before being released this past offseason.

Boskovic also played 27 games of U SPORTS soccer for Ryerson University, with whom he won the 2016 national Rookie of the Year award.

Boskovic is a young player with great untapped potential,” said Pa-Modou Kah, head coach of Pacific FC. “He is technically and tactically good and we welcome him to PFC family.”

The Tridents, currently first place in the CPL, are next in action on Wednesday, August 11 with a trip to Spruce Meadows to take on Boskovic’s former side Cavalry FC (9 pm ET/6 pm PT, on OneSoccer).
