Potential Dates, Times Announced For Canadian Premier League Final

Toronto, ON – (Oct. 13, 2022) – The Canadian Premier League announced on Thursday potential dates and times for the CPL Final, to be played the weekend of Saturday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Oct.30.

The single-leg CPL Final will be played at the home of the highest seeded team remaining in the competition following semifinal action. Leg one semifinal matches will be played on Saturday, Oct. 15, with Leg 2 semifinal matches to be played on Sunday, Oct. 23. The home and away series will see regular season champion Atlético Ottawa take on No. 4 seed Pacific FC, while No. 2 seed Forge FC will go head to head with No. 3 seed Cavalry FC.

As the top three teams at the end of the CPL’s regular season, No. 1 seed Atlético Ottawa, No. 2 seed Forge FC and No. 3 seed Cavalry FC remain possible hosts for the CPL Final.

The potential dates and times for a CPL Final in those respective markets are as follows:

  • If Forge FC host the CPL Final, the match will be played on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. ET at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ont.
  • If Cavalry FC host the CPL Final, the match will be played on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. ET/2 p.m. MT at ATCO Field in Calgary, Alta.
  •  If Atlético Ottawa host the CPL Final, the match will be played on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. ET at TD Place in Ottawa, Ont.

The 2022 CPL Playoffs will be broadcast on dedicated soccer channel OneSoccer, available to all Canadian households through OneSoccer.ca, via Roku, Chromecast and Apple TV devices and with the OneSoccer app for iOS and Android devices. OneSoccer is also available as a linear channel through Telus Optik TV, as well as via the fuboTV Canada platform. The playoffs will also be available to fans abroad through Fox Sports in the United States, BT Sports in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Flow Sports in the Caribbean, Hi-Sports TV in Mexico and globally through the OneSoccer website and app.
