Quarter-final dates, times set for 2024 TELUS Canadian Championship

Canada Soccer announced on Friday the full schedule for the quarter-final round of the 2024 TELUS Canadian Championship, which wrapped up its preliminary round on Thursday night.

The action gets started on Tuesday, May 7, when Forge FC host CF Montréal at 11 a.m. ET in Hamilton, while Cavalry FC take on the Vancouver Whitecaps later that night in Calgary (7 p.m. MT/9 p.m. ET).

Of the eight teams remaining in the competition, four are from the Canadian Premier League (Cavalry FC, Atlético Ottawa, Pacific FC and Forge FC), three come from Major League Soccer (Vancouver Whitecaps, CF Montréal and Toronto FC) and, for the first time, there’s a quarter-finalist from Ligue1 Québec after CS Saint-Laurent beat the CPL’s Halifax Wanderers to book a matchup with Toronto.

Each team will have their eye on lifting the Voyageurs’ Cup later this year and earning a spot in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Unlike the first preliminary round, which consisted of single-knockout games, the quarter-finals this year will feature two-legged home-and-away ties. The away goals rule will be in effect, meaning if teams are level on aggregate after both games, the side that scored more away from home will advance.

All TELUS Canadian Championship matches can be seen on OneSoccer, as well as on Fubo TV and TELUS channel 980.
