Schedule update: York United – Cavalry FC match to be played on Saturday, September 23
The final meeting of the 2023 regular season between York United FC and Cavalry FC has been moved to avoid a scheduling conflict with the Canadian Women’s National Team’s upcoming Olympic qualifier, the clubs announced on Thursday.
The previously scheduled match between the Nine Stripes and Cavalry, which was originally set to kick off on Friday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. at York Lions Stadium, will now be played on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. ET/11 a.m. MT at York Lions Stadium, becoming the tonybet Match of the Week on OneSoccer.
Canada’s Women’s National Team takes on Jamaica in the opener of a critical home-and-away Olympic qualifying series on Friday, Sept. 28, the winner of which will earn a spot at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The match, which will be played at Jamaica National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica, will kick off at 8 p.m. ET. The home return leg will be played on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. ET at BMO Field in Toronto, Ont.
Both the Women’s National Team’s Olympic qualifiers and the match between York and Cavalry will be broadcast on OneSoccer, available across connected devices and via Telus Optik TV Ch. 980 and fuboTV Canada.
