It was derby day in this week’s ComeOn! Match of the Week, as FC Edmonton played host to Cavalry FC in the first Al Classico of 2022.

There, the guests, Cavalry, would prove to be play spoilers, scoring early and often en route to a commanding 3-0 win, picking up their second consecutive win after failing to win in their first three games. Meanwhile, it continued to be heartbreak for Edmonton, who after this game, remain as the lone CPL team yet to win this season.

Now, however, both teams will have to have short memories, as they meet again in just a few days’ time in Canadian Championship action, this time in Calgary.
