FC Edmonton won their final match of the 2022 Canadian Premier League season on Saturday afternoon, beating Valour FC in front of Eddies fans at Clarke Stadium.
The visitors scored first, an 18th minute goal from Walter Ponce, but Edmonton wouldn’t go down without a fight. Tobias Warschewski drew, and then scored, a penalty just after the half-hour mark, minutes before Wesley Timoteo fired FC Edmonton into the lead with a magnificent free kick. They would maintain that lead for most of the second half, before Gaby Bitar made it 3-1 with a free kick of his own, securing the three points for his side.
