Sights and Sounds: Forge FC 2-1 Cavalry FC (3-2 agg.)

Forge FC booked their spot in the 2022 Canadian Premier League final on Sunday, beating rivals Cavalry 2-1 at Tim Hortons Field.

After a scoreless (but feisty) first half, David Choiniere and Woobens Pacius got Forge out to a 2-0 lead midway through the second. Pacius’ goal, from the penalty spot, would prove to be the winner, as Myer Bevan pulled one back for the visitors a few minutes later to cancel out Choiniere’s strike.

The Hammers held on the rest of the way, and came away with a 3-2 aggregate victory. They advance to the final against Atlético Ottawa, which will be played at TD Place in Ottawa next Sunday.

Here are some sights and sounds from Hamilton, Ontario.
