It was the last regular season home game of the season for Valour FC on Sunday, as they played host to Atlético Ottawa in a crucial Canadian Premier League matchup.
On a nice day for soccer, in front of a solid crowd, both teams made sure to put on an entertaining show for those in attendance, too. First, Valour came brightly out of the gates, before Ottawa responded with a push of their own, making for a tale of two games within the match.
From there, that paved the way for an exciting push at the end, as Valour’s Andrew Jean-Baptiste opened the scoring in the 68th minute, before Ollie Bassett responded with some magic in the 78th minute, leaving both teams to split the spoils in a deserved 1-1 draw, one that keeps the CPL table as tight as ever with just a few matches remaining.
