York United continued their good run of form on Friday night, beating the visiting FC Edmonton 3-1 at York Lions Stadium.
Mo Babouli got the scoring underway with a first half header, but most of the action came after the break. The two sides traded goals quickly after halftime, with Osaze De Rosario scoring his 12th York United goal in the 48th minute, making him York United’s all-time record holder. CJ Smith, playing nearby to his hometown of Brampton, Ontario, scored his first CPL goal for FC Edmonton just three minutes later, but a Mo Babouli penalty in the 71st minute restored the two-goal advantage and secured all three points for The Nine Stripes.
Here are some sights and sounds from York Lions Stadium.
