HFX Wanderers treated the fans in the Kitchen to another party on Wednesday night, as they knocked off Atlético Ottawa 2-1 to climb within one point of York United for the CPL’s final playoff spot.

Joao Morelli got things going from the penalty spot just before halftime, and he scored another with an exceptional long-range finish in the second half for his record-breaking 14th of the 2021 season.

Ryan Telfer got the visitors back into the game with a goal just before the 70th minute, and Atlético Ottawa certainly did make a go of completing the comeback, but ultimately the Wanderers held firm.
