Cavalry FC took over first place in the Canadian Premier League on Wednesday night, as they equaled a club record by extending their unbeaten run to seven with a 4-2 win over Valour FC.
The Cavs found the net just four minutes in thanks to an Aribim Pepple effort deflected off Stefan Cebara, and they added another with a Sergio Camargo screamer just 10 minutes later. Although Valour scored early in the second half to cut the lead in half, Cavalry went on to score twice in the next 10 minutes — courtesy of Mason Trafford and Pepple — to get back in the driver’s seat.
Matteo De Brienne would add another goal for Valour in stoppage time, but ultimately Cavalry held out for their fourth consecutive win.
