Martin Nash’s first win as York United head coach came, fittingly, against his former club, as his side won 2-0 over Cavalry FC on Friday night at York Lions Stadium.
Goals from Oliver Minatel and Osaze De Rosario made the difference for the Nine Stripes as they banked their first three points of the 2022 season, leaving Cavalry still searching for their first victory of the campaign.
So, it was the hosts who celebrated the win at home with their fans, as the visitors return to Calgary with an eye to their own home opener next weekend.
Here are your sights and sounds from York’s win over Cavalry.
