Forge FC: Canadian Premier League Champions… again.
The Hamilton-based club captured its second consecutive CPL title on Saturday with a 2-0 win over HFX Wanderers FC in the 2020 CPL Final on Prince Edward Island.
A cagey affair decided by Alex Achinioti-Jonsson’s 60th-minute header, Forge flourished in a second-half resurgence to prove they’re still a step ahead of the rest of the CPL.
Halifax fans came out in (socially-distanced) droves to Wanderers Grounds to watch the game and, of course, folks brought their microwave dishes out to honour the North Star Shield.
