Valour FC today announce the club has picked up the option of forwards Moses Dyer and William Akio.
Dyer, 24, made 29 appearances for a total of 1,785 minutes played, a team-leading nine goals and five assists in 2021. In 2020, the forward made six appearances with Valour FC, totalling 271 minutes played and one goal.
“Dyer came to life when he moved to centre-forward for our club,” said Valour FC Head Coach & GM Phillip Dos Santos. “He’s dangerous in and around the box, can finish and is committed in the defensive phase.”
Dyer first joined Valour FC on February 14, 2020 from Florø (3rd tier Norwegian Football League).
Akio, 23, made 30 appearances for a total of 1,929 minutes played, eight goals and four assists in 2021. The forward first joined Valour FC on May 5th, 2021 from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
“Akio is a force,” said Dos Santos. “We feel he still has a lot of room to grow, going into his second professional season. We’re committed to helping him and making sure that he starts 2022 right where he left off last season.
