Valour FC today announced that the club has signed free-agent Canadian defender Abdou Samake.

Samake, 26, joins Valour FC from Pacific FC, where he spent the previous three seasons, totalling 53 appearances, two assists and 3,911 minutes played.

Before joining Pacific FC, the defender was a part of the University of Michigan squad from 2017-2019, totalling 54 appearances, 3 assists and 4,436 minutes played. He was named to the All-Big Ten Tournament team in 2019.

Samake also spent time with the Montreal Impact academy as a youth.
