There is perhaps no place where Anthony Novak has enjoyed playing more since coming into the Canadian Premier League than Winnipeg.
The 28-year-old striker has scored six career goals, and added three assists at IG Field, the home of Valour FC, including a pair of goals during the Winnipeg bubble to start the 2021 season. That is better than his production at his previous two CPL home grounds, ATCO Field and Tim Hortons Field, combined.

It seems only right then that Valour announced the signing of Novak on Thursday. He spent the previous two seasons with Cavalry FC, where he appeared in 25 matches, scoring four goals and adding two assists.
The four-year Canadian Premier League veteran also spent two seasons with Forge FC, and has appeared in 51 CPL matches across stints at the two clubs, scoring 12 goals and adding six assists. He also appeared in eight Concacaf League matches, scoring one goal and providing two assists. He lifted the North Star Shield with Forge after both the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

In between playing for Forge and Cavalry, the Pickering, Ontario native spent time in Portugal with Condeixa.
Novak is the 13th new signing the Winnipeg outfit has made during a busy off-season, including U SPORTS players Guillaume Pianelli and Jordan Tisseur, plus Dante Campbell, Jared Ulloa, Jaime Siaj, Juan Pablo Sanchez, Eskander Mzoughi, Marcello Polisi, Kian Williams, Pacifique Niyongabire, Adbou Samake and Jordan Haynes.
