WINNIPEG – Valour FC announced the signing of defender Adam Mitter to a one-year contract on Friday
Mitter, 26, joins Valour FC after playing last season in both Singapore and the Philippines – most recently for Global Cebu of the Philippine Premier League.
“We are very pleased to announce the capture of a top-level centre-back with English and Scottish Premier League experience,” Valour head coach Rob Gale said. “Adam has shown great determination, desire, and commitment to be a part of Valour FC, and more importantly, his values align fully with our football club.”
As a youth, Mitter joined Preston North End at the age of 16 and soon after signed a two-year deal with Blackpool FC where he was captain of the under-18 team and the reserve squad after the team was promoted into the Premier League (2009-2010).

In 2011, the defender signed a professional contract with Hibernian FC (Scottish Premier League), completing one season before joining Ange IF (Third Division Sweden) where he was named captain.
In 2015-2016, Mitter signed with Futbol Club Meralco Manila (United Football League, Philippines), followed by a move to Fateh Hyderabad AFC (I-League 2nd Division, India) in 2016-2017. The defender then had brief stints with Ilocos United (Philippines Football League), Hougang United (Singapore Premier League), and Global Cebu from 2017-2018.
“I’m really excited to be joining Valour FC, I’ve been in contact with Rob for a while now and I bought into his vision for the club straight away,” said Mitter. “I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the supporters and I can’t wait to be a part of the CPL.”
