Valour searches for pre-season hopefuls with February open trials

Valour FC is looking for the next Tyler Attardo.

The club is hosting open trials on February 26th and February 27th in Winnipeg, coaching staff on-hand, as players attempt to earn invites to Valour pre-season this March.

Valour signed Attardo from the #GotGame Open Trials in 2018. The 18-year-old Winnipeg native went on to score six goals in 20 appearances as one of six trialists to make the professional jump, and the only trialist to emerge from that Open Trials stop in Winnipeg.

“Last year, the open trials brought us Tyler Attardo, who was a stand-out and had a very promising first year as a professional with Valour,” Valour coach Rob Gale said on the club’s website. “Our staff is looking forward to taking another look at the talent that will be on display come February.”

Players, which must be 16 and older, that make the cut after day one will be invited back to participate on the second day, for a chance to receive an invitation to Valour FC’s pre-season camp beginning in March.
