Vancouver FC’s Callum Irving named Allstate CPL Goalkeeper of the Month for May

Goalkeeper of the Month — May 2024

Callum Irving of Vancouver FC has been named the Canadian Premier League’s Allstate Goalkeeper of the Month for May 2024.

Irving’s heroics were key to Vancouver FC’s 2-1-1 record during the month, including significant victories over Pacific FC in the Salish Sea Derby and a first-ever win over Forge at Tim Hortons Field. As a result, VFC rose to second in the CPL table.

The 31-year-old made 12 saves during the month, including five in an outstanding performance during a 1-1 draw with Atlético Ottawa on May 12.

Irving joins Forge FC’s Chris Kalongo as goalkeepers who have been honoured this season, with the latter taking home the Allstate Goalkeeper of the Month for April.
