It’s been several days since Forge FC beat Cavalry FC in Leg 2 of Finals 2019 in Calgary to become the first CPL Champions.
But the CPL champs kept the party going Thursday night in Hamilton, as the club held a special event at Tim Hortons Field to celebrate their victory with Forge fans.
Thursday’s festivities featured an appearance by the North Star Shield, and speeches by Forge coach Bobby Smyrniotis and captain Kyle Bekker.
Smyrniotis also took time to read out a letter that the club received from FIFA president Gianni Infantino congratulating them on their championship victory.
