It looked like Wednesday’s match at Starlight Stadium was destined for extra time, until a pair of substitutes provided the match’s decisive moment in second-half stoppage time. In the 91st minute, Kekuta Manneh played a lovely cross into the six-yard box that Adonijah Reid redirected past Niko Giantosopoulos and into the York net to hand Pacific a 1-0 victory. It was Pacific’s first home playoff win. The Tridents now advance to take on Halifax on Saturday, October 14 at the Wanderers Grounds (11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET).
