On Wednesday night at Starlight Stadium, Cavalry FC step onto the continental stage for the first time as they face Orlando City SC in round one of the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Ahead of the clash, which kicks off at 7 p.m. PT/8 p.m. MT, CanPL.ca’s Charlie O’Connor-Clarke caught up with Cavalry FC captain Marco Carducci to discuss his side’s mentality going into this match, how they plan to use the pitch to their advantage and make the Langford, B.C. stadium as much of a home atmosphere as possible.

O’Connor-Clarke also spoke with reigning CPL Player of the Year and Defender of the Year Daan Klomp, who discussed the importance of the club retaining its core and why this is among the biggest games in the history of Cavalry FC.
