WATCH: Haber shoulders pressure ahead of Pacific’s inaugural season

Now less than two weeks before Pacific FC plays its inaugural match, striker Marcus Haber knows the pressure is on.

The 30-year-old former Canadian national team member recently wrapped up a pre-season stint in the Dominican Republic with Pacific FC, with the club now preparing for its first home match against HFX Wanderers FC on April 28 on Vancouver Island.

“It was a good opportunity to get a little more in our lungs, work a little bit more on tactics just go through a regular week just in a different location and gear up for that first game,” Haber began.

As a marquee signing on Van Isle, Haber spoke about the pressure on him, specifically, to get results in Year 1.

“If I’m playing well, the team’s going to do well. I’m an important part of the team, especially playing up top. Strikers win you games at the end of the day,” Haber said with a smile.

“I know the coach and my teammates will be looking at me to produce and I put that pressure on myself.”
