Pacific FC kicked off their 2021 CPL title defence on a high note with a 2-1 win over Forge FC, as goals from Alejandro Diaz and Amer Didic would make the difference for Pacific despite a late tally from Alexander Achinioti-Jönsson.
On a nice overcast day on Vancouver Island, it was perfect weather for soccer, and as a result, both teams were able to put up solid performances. Pacific might’ve come up on top this time, but Forge left feeling content with how they played, as they did everything but put the ball in the net on the day.
Plus, with Pacific unveiling their brand-new alternate kit, as part of a pre-game ceremony that saw them honour some local First Nations groups, it was an overall special day on the Island for those who got to attend the match.
