Forge FC and Cavalry FC went toe-to-toe in a scintillating showdown at Tim Hortons Field on Saturday, sharing the spoils in a 2-2 draw to give each side its first point of the 2022 season.
The home side opened the scoring just three minutes in thanks to an excellent strike by Alessandro Hojabrpour, but Cavalry would take the lead before halftime with well-worked goals from Joe Mason and Ali Musse.
Forge threw all they could at the Cavs in the second half, though, and at last they found their hero, as David Choinière fizzed a shot from the corner of the box all the way into the net off the goalpost just on the brink of stoppage time.
