Pacific FC announced on Thursday morning that it has added forward Gianni dos Santos to its roster for the 2021 Canadian Premier League season.
Dos Santos, a 22-year-old from Rotterdam, Netherlands, comes from FC Dordrecht in the Dutch second tier, where he also played most of his youth football. He played a brief stint between 2018 and 2020 with Sparta Rotterdam before returning to Dordrecht for the past year.

In total, dos Santos has 23 career appearances in the Dutch second flight, scoring four goals and adding two assists. He also played 43 times for Sparta Rotterdam’s U-21 side, scoring 11 times for them.
“Gianni is a young player with good technical ability and potential,” said Pacific coach Pa-Modou Kah. “He brings a wealth of playing knowledge from playing in the Dutch second division and we welcome him to the PFC family.”
Dos Santos is a five-foot-seven striker with strong technical ability, holding dual citizenship in the Netherlands and Cape Verde. He is Pacific’s third international player signed to the 2021 squad, and — as it stands — the 23rd player signed in total, although goalkeeper Emil Gazdov remains on loan at FC Nürnberg.
The newcomer will join a robust attacking group on Vancouver Island, alongside forwards Alejandro Díaz, Terran Campbell, and Ollie Bassett, as well as other attackers like Marco Bustos and Victor Blasco.
