Atlético Ottawa announced their roster for The Kickoff on Wednesday morning, and revealed that the club will be without a pair of their attacking threats.
Naming a 20-player roster for the month-long bubble in Winnipeg, the club shared that they have agreed to terminate Osah Bernardinho’s contract with the club after visa issues related to COVID-19 prevented the Ghanaian attacker from joining up with the squad for the second season in a row.
[ ?] Atlético Ottawa and Bernadinho have agreed to terminate his contract due to the complications on obtaining the paperwork needed to play in Canada and join the team because of the pandemic. We wish him all the best on his future endeavours. (1/2).

The club also announced that another winger, 33-year-old Canadian Jordan Webb, won’t be playing in Winnipeg after the two sides mutually agreed to let him sit out. After a decade with several clubs in Singapore, Webb was set to play in his home country for the first time since 2009.
He will have to wait until the end of July at least to play for the club, as the bubble is scheduled to wrap up on July 24, with the aim to play in home stadiums afterwards.
In addition, the club and Jordan Webb have mutually decided for the benefit of both parties that he will not be joining the club in Winnipeg to play in the Kickoff (2/2).
