Discipline Report: Canadian Premier League Matchweek 25

All on-field disciplinary matters for the Canadian Premier League (CPL) are overseen by Canada Soccer, pursuant to its Disciplinary Code and Professional Soccer Club Disciplinary Annex.

The following players are now facing suspension, which have been determined and issued by Canada Soccer, after the 25th week of play in the 2024 CPL regular season:

  • Moses Dyer, Pacific FC
    • Reason for suspension: Yellow Card Accumulation
    • Sanction: One-game suspension (Saturday, Oct. 5 vs. Cavalry FC)
  • Pierre Lamothe, Pacific FC
    • Reason for suspension: Sent Off — Two Cautions
    • Sanction: One-game suspension (Saturday, Oct. 5 vs. Cavalry FC)
  • Juan Córdova, York United FC
    • Reason for suspension: Yellow Card Accumulation
    • Sanction: One-game suspension (Saturday, Oct. 6 vs. Atlético Ottawa)

The following players are one caution away from a one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation, after the 25th week of CPL play in 2024:

  • Dani Morer, Atlético Ottawa
  • Luke Singh, Atlético Ottawa
  • Diego Gutiérrez, Cavalry FC
  • Nana Ampomah, Forge FC
  • Jefferson Alphonse, Halifax Wanderers FC
  • Josh Heard, Pacific FC
  • Sean Young, Pacific FC
  • Roberto Alarcón, Valour FC
  • Raphael Ohin, Valour FC
  • Paris Gee, Vancouver FC
  • Elijah Adekugbe, York United FC
  • Max Ferrari, York United FC

Per Canada Soccer’s Good Behaviour Incentive, when a player plays in five consecutive league matches, either as a starter or a substitute, without receiving a yellow card or red card or other discipline sanction, the player’s yellow card accumulation total will automatically be reduced by one yellow card.

For a full list of players currently facing or nearing suspensions or awaiting decisions on suspension appeals or incident reviews, see the CPL’s Discipline & Suspensions page. For more information on discipline, cautions and suspensions, see the CPL’s Competitions Guidelines.

*A previous iteration of the Matchweek 25 Discipline Report incorrectly stated that Moses Dyer of Pacific FC will be suspended for Matchweek 26 because of yellow card accumulation. In fact, Dyer will be available for Matchweek 26.
