After his side went undefeated in Canadian Premier League action in May, Pacific FC’s James Merriman has been named the league’s Manager of the Month.

Pacific began May by becoming the first side in league history to win back-to-back matches by a score of 4-1. They also earned 1-1 draws against Valour and Halifax. The Tridents finished the month with 8 points, and 10 goals scored with only four conceded.

In the process, Pacific played some stunning attacking football, showing depth in attacking options as they balanced the CPL regular season and Canadian Championship. They ended May in second place in the CPL table, with 12 points collected through the first two months of the season.

Forge FC head coach Bobby Smyrniotis was the league’s manager of the month for April, the opening month of the 2023 CPL season.
