Atlético Ottawa hosted Valour FC on Wednesday night, and after a pair of early goals, played out a 1-1 draw.
Moses Dyer gave the visitors the lead just ten minutes into the match, beating Nathan Ingham from the penalty spot with a low shot to the Ottawa goalkeeper’s left after MacDonald Niba was called for a handball. Five minutes later, after Valour captain Andrew Jean-Baptiste was called for the same infraction at the other end of the pitch, Vladimir Moragrega stepped up for Ottawa and scored his penalty to tie it up in the 15th minute.
Those would be the only goals in an end-to-end match in the nation’s capital, and each side picked up a deserved point.
