Atlético Ottawa and York United traded blows – and impressive goals – in an exciting all-Ontario 2-2 draw at TD Place Wednesday.
York opened the scoring through Michael Petrasso off a brilliant assist from Max Ferrari. Only for Migel Acosta to equalize after a defensive miscue in York’s defensive third. Work would add another in the second half after a second brilliant pass from Noah Verhoeven found Alvaro Rivero.
Malcolm Shaw grabbed his second late equalizer in as many games after 80 minutes when the striker out-hesitated his York marker for what would be a final goal.
York United travel east to take on HFX Wanderers on Monday, September 6th (3 pm AT/ 2 pm ET). Atlético Ottawa is back at home on Wednesday, September 8th (7 pm ET) for their next match, against Forge FC. Watch all matches live on OneSoccer.
